Spring in London is the height of the theatre season.  See four acclaimed and diverse productions carefully selected by noted theatre historian, David Fox.  Enjoy David’s preview lectures every morning as well as stimulating discussions of the production viewed the eve before.  Accommodations are in the beautifully situated CHESTERFIELD HOTEL in the heart of fashionable Mayfair, mere steps from Berkeley Square. Full English breakfasts daily, and dinners in some of London’s most enjoyable restaurants complement your tour.  A London Travel Card provides unlimited urban transport for both organized theatre excursions and independent exploration.

Past travelers know we employ the London Underground for our nightly expeditions to restaurants and theatres.  This mode of transportation has a proven “track record” and affords us a particularly authentic and convenient travel experience.  Please make sure you are physically able to negotiate this adventure.

Theatrical performances have yet to be selected.  We’ve found waiting until early winter enables us to choose from the latest and finest West End offerings.  In former years, favorite selections have included A DELICATE BALANCE with Maggie Smith; AMY’S VIEW with Judi Dench; HONOUR with the commanding Diana Rigg; the prolific Michael Frayn’s COPENHAGEN and DEMOCRACY; and Tom Courtenay’s stunning portrayal of the poet Philip Larkin in PRETENDING TO BE ME.  Add the incomparable Simon Russell Beale in Shaw’s MAJOR BARBARA;  Kevin Spacey’s provocative performance in NATIONAL ANTHEMS and the riveting performance of Kristin Scott Thomas in Chekhov’s THE SEAGULL (2008 Olivier Award).  One readily understands the lure of our devoted return subscriptions.  May we save you a seat?

• $3,395.00 PER PERSON BASED ON DOUBLE OCCUPANCY.

Only checks made payable to Circle Travel Service may be accepted as deposit and final payment.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
$500.00 deposit per person due by October 16, 2008 to secure your place on the tour.
Balance due by January 7, 2009.
Tour cost does not include group-contracted airfare.  Land cost rates are based on a minimum of 15 tour members.
Reservations are limited and accepted on a first-come first-served basis.

CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES: All cancellations are subject to an administrative fee of $250.00 per person plus any additional supplier cancellation charges.  Cancellations are completely non-refundable as of January 5, 2009.  Notification of cancellation must be in writing.  AGAIN, TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS STRONGLY ADVISED.

LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY: Anne Bockol, Circle Travel Service, Inc., its agents, servants and/or employees, and any sponsor, shall not be responsible or liable in any way for loss, death, injury or damage to persons or property or incurred by any person in connection with this program or any part of it.  They act only as your agents in providing tour arrangements and assume neither responsibility nor liability in connection with the service of any motorcoach, train, vessel, carriage, aircraft or any other accommodation used in performance of the tour, or in the event of theft.  Baggage and personal effects are the sole responsibility of the passenger.  Should it become necessary or advisable, alterations may be made in the tour itinerary.   Additional expense, if any, shall be borne by the passengers.  All prices quoted here are based on current fares and are subject to change.  All services are subject to the laws of the state or country in which those services are rendered.  Quoted tour prices include planning, handling and operational charges, and are quoted based on the current rate of exchange as of August 2008.  In the event of a significant increase in foreign exchange rates or other unexpected increases, costs are subject to revision.
